Personality:
Ferdy is not one to always listen. He's the type of kid who plays by his own rules and his own book (even if it can ultimately get him seriously injured), and if you decide to make a suggestion, he might consider it. It's not that he's particularly stubborn he's just...defiant. He likes doing things his way and his way only, and growing up as the baby boy of the family certainly developed such traits. The kid's also a bit of a spoiled brat. He's no stranger to throwing tantrums even with his somewhat older age. However, he is also very emotional and sentimental; he can be affected by a lot more than one might think and is very expressive in showing it. Meaning he'll cry, he'll claw and he'll bite when he's been made upset in some way. It's hard to get a handle of this boy especially when he's emotional.
Ferdy is fun-loving and always on the go; 'lazy' doesn't even register in the boy's vocabulary. Not only that but, always a child at heart, the Cubchoo is extremely curious about his world around him, taking things into consideration and picking out the tiny details. However, because of his observant habits, he tends to ask a lot of stupid—very stupid—questions. Yet his curiosity makes him a very creative boy as he loves looking at things in a new light and trying to find different ways of doing things. As a fun-loving bear, he is also very mischievous and loves to cause trouble. ...Best to keep your wits about you when around this one.

History:
The world was blessed when Ferdinand Petrarch Roberts' presence graced the hospital on a dank, rainy day in March. Birds sang, angels cried, and hell froze over.

No, that's all a heavy exaggeration. Everyone's lives went on normally, but Ferdy loves to think and tell himself that...the self important brat.

Ferdinand was born to Alicia and Jonathan Roberts; he was their baby boy—their precious teeny bear. So as their lastborn, naturally the parents spoiled and coddled him to quite unbearable degrees. However, what they hadn't known at the time that this over-spoiling habit of theirs would eventually lead them into trouble...

The creation of a little monster.

Well, calling him a monster is overkill but Ferdinand certainly acted like the spoiled brat that anyone expected. The boy got away with far too much, honestly; whenever his big brother was 'bullying' him or teasing him because of something he did? His parents would give his brother the time out. If he wanted something that his sister had and took it from her? His parents would merely encourage them to share nicely with each other. Despite his young age, the boy was impressionable and cunning. He knew that his parents would allow him to get away with far too much with a bat of his eyelashes and a few tears.

However...the rest of the world didn't quite work that way.

Kindergarten came in a flash for the boy and Ferdy found out the hard way that not everything in life was his and his alone, and his often trouble-making habits caused quite a few of his peers troubles of their own. Unfortunately, the adult teachers here could not be disarmed with a simple bat of his eyelashes and a few Cubchoo-sized tears. The Cubchoo was a problem-child and his parents, too, learned of this fact when the end of the year came and Ferdy was sent home with a letter of 'repeating the grade on the grounds of not sharing' or 'playing nice with others'.

Ouch.

So with the repeat of Kindergarten a startling reality, a good portion of babying their 'baby boy' ceased. At the time, Ferdy didn't quite understand why, and their actions only thus had a negative effect; now not being able to get away with half of the things he had before and also being placed in time outs had caused his unruliness to grow. However, the boy did learn one valuable lesson through all of this. How to be deceitful—how to lie and pretend he was doing 'well'. And thankfully, it helped get him through his second year in Kindergarten. He was never praised on good behavior but his teachers had at least noticed a slight change in the boy's attitude. 

Perfect.

The years steadily flew by, and unsurprisingly Ferdinand wasn't quite that popular among his peers; if anything, he was actually seen as one of the 'bullies' in his middle school days because of his volatile personality. At times, he cared about the thought of not having too many close friends; then, at other times he absolutely didn't give two Rattata's behinds about being 'friendly' friendly with others. He didn't go to school for them, after all. Yet noticing their son's shift in attitude, his parents decided that perhaps a new school and new environment would be better suited for their boy, seeing as how his sister was already off to high school and his older brother in college.

So, the search for a new school began.

After some time, eventually his parents found a school by the name of Armonia Institute that seemed to be doing quite well in handling troubled youths. Packing his bags and giving him best wishes, Ferdinand was sent off to the school with hopes that—when he returned for visits—they would be able to see a change in their son's attitude.
