UPDATE: Electric Duck! New app art PLUS showing her fusion as well! >v< Her hair is green in this because this is her summer look but her hair/lilypad can change along with the seasons. I'll post a pic for reference later.
UPDATE #2: SO. I changed her species for the sake of not drawing a beak anymore. And yes, i dressed her up like April O'Neil, sue me it's a cute jumper.

Well, you can call her just about anything (mad, insane, crazy, nutty) and she would probably just laugh and tell you thanks. Laura has no shame in her love for science and its chemical concoctions, and with her optimistic attitude she can certainly see the brighter side of just about anything. Thanks to recent events, however, she no longer forces her cheer as she used to in the past. She used to be quite the dangerous one, and to a certain extent she still is. However, much of that 'thrill-seeking' behavior has died down to something gentler and more docile. With the right kind of people, she adopts an almost motherly attitude, yet despite her 'calming down', she still has a love for doing things on the fly...even if it winds her up in trouble. She acts with her heart more often than not and believes that there is good in almost everyone. She is very impulsive and usually acts before thoroughly thinking something through. Hence why most thinks explode, break or fall off during her first use, or she winds up offering something for the benefit of others. She can be quite self-sacrificing.

Accident-prone she still is, Laura has a bad habit of often forgetting things—mostly because her mind and attention is always racing. Sometimes, she does forget to eat or drink something when she is in the zone, be it on an experiment or some other task. She is like a walking magnet for disaster. However, she would try her hardest to protect her friends from such disasters and in those terms, she can be very trustworthy. She is also very forgiving--hopefully others can be with her.

Aside from that, Laura is very inquisitive and curious about the world around her, making her just the tiniest bit child-like. If there is a mystery to be solved, you can bet your shiny butt that she's on the case. No questions will be left untouched. And this woman is damn-near boundless with energy. Rather than sit around, she loves being on the go and doing anything and everything can until she nearly exhausts herself. Friendly, a little loud, but a happy sort, she is eager to get along with many.

Laura came from a rather modest background, her mother and father both astronomers and her oldest brother a psychologist. Much like her parents, the little Lotad was quite drawn to the 'unknown'. She, too, wanted to discover the undiscovered. However, she didn't want to focus on astrology specifically. With the help of her schooling and science fairs, she found that she had quite a knack for chemistry. Creating things, engineering, robotics, mixing potions--she absolutely adored it all. And though her parents had been more than a little worried by her lack of caring whenever she had accidents, she didn't let their worries discourage her in the least.

However, during her childhood, Laura had a very good friend by the name of Tammy. She and Tammy were nearly inseparable—almost like sisters. They met around their elementary school days, when Laura was far shier than she is today. Tammy, however, was the louder of the two—the one always looking on the "positive" side of life. Her thoughts and ideas about life were infectious, and in a lot of ways Laura deeply respected and looked up to her.

Come high school, Tammy began to grow ill, or to be precise, more ill than she already was. She had always been a sickly girl and was in and out of the hospital since birth, but it was during high school where this condition worsened. It grew up to a point where doctors sat down with Tammy's parents and notified them that she would not have much longer to live most likely. And it was through Tammy's parents to Laura's parents that Laura discovered the news. From then on she visited Tammy every single day, bringing her flowers, keeping her up-to-date on the latest incidents happening in class, and helping her around her hospital room. "I don't want you to worry about me too much or be too sad," Tammy would tell Laura. "Just you being happy is enough."

Thus, Laura began to suppress her negative feelings when around Tammy, trying to keep her friend from worrying and instead only focusing on spending her last few days peacefully. Laura's parents caught on to their daughter's strange behavior but, at the time, thought nothing of it. They figured it to be her way of grieving.

Eventually, Tammy passed.

More often than not, especially after the funeral, Laura's parents continually asked her whether she'd like to talk to anyone, considering Tammy's death would affect her in a certain way because of the loss of her best friend. Yet Laura always assured them she was fine. Depression was fought with forced cheer, to the point where even Laura herself could no longer differentiate between forced and honest happiness. She never acknowledged feeling 'sad' for quite a while.

And life continued on.

When she reached of age, she attended a college in Lilycove where she strived to get her Doctorate's degree in scientific studies. Once she'd accomplished that, she took up a few teaching jobs at some of the local schools in Lilycove before she eventually found her place in Armonia Academy.

*Speaking of which, rainy and storming weather is her absolute favorite.
○She has been struck by lightning before. It was very "electrifying".
○She does change slightly with the seasons still! Mostly her cotton.

○Despite losing her Water-Type ability, she still has an affinity for water and can swim well; she can no longer hold her breath as long underwater however.
○She does still have her lilypad...it is apart of her and no one can tell me otherwise.
